Differential abundance analysis was conducted using MaASlin2, and functional annotation was based on > 50% amino acid identity and E value of < 10−40 of the identified NRPS/PKS BGCs to BGC sequences in MIBiG database. Taxonomic classification of BGCs was achieved using MEGAN V6 Ultimate Edition based on the Lowest common ancestor (LCA).
